I tried formatting using udfmkfs in Linux with UDF level 2.01, and windows refused to read data written with pktcdvd. I formatted in Windows with 2.01, and then after Linux wrote the file system, Windows could not read the Linux data. I tried creating a DVD in Windows with UDF 1.02, then added data using Linux, and the Linux data was unavailable in Windows 7.
Linux seems to be able to read Windows data, but not the other way around. Anyone else notice this? |

After some research, there was a claim that pktcdvd is only needed for performance for DVD-RAM. Maybe I should just leave out pktcdvd?
I formatted a UDF disk to 1.02 in Windows 7, then mounted the DVD-RAM disk directly in Linux, wrote some data, unmounted, and took it over to Windows 7, and the file was readable. |
