Hi,

I tried to emerge haskell-network, and got:

Code:

CPV:  dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4
REPO: gentoo
USE:  amd64 elibc_glibc kernel_linux multilib userland_GNU
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking network-2.2.1.4.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4/work
QA: File or directory " /usr/portage/dev-haskell/network/files/network-2.2.0.0-eat-configure-opts.patch " does not exist.
QA: Check your PATCHES array or add missing file/directory.
ERROR: dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4 failed:

The specific snippet of code:
           [[ ${patches_failed} -eq 1 ]] && die "Some patches failed. See above messages.";

If you need support, post the output of 'emerge --info =dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4',
the complete build log and the output of 'emerge -pqv =dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4'.
The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4/temp/build.log'.
The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/dev-haskell/network-2.2.1.4/temp/environment'.

but the patch exists:

Does the patch file have the right checksum? Try copying the /usr/portage/dev-haskell/network
directory into eg: /usr/local/portage/dev-haskell, and run "emerge ebuild_name_here manifest"
in the new directory to update the build. Then make sure that /usr/local/portage is set as a local
overlay in /etc/make.conf, and try re-emerging.

Hey,

Do you mean
ebuild ebuild_name

instead of
emerge ebuild_name manifest
??

The later does not work. Doing it with ebuild ebuild_name did not solve the problem :(.

Thanks!
Nathan

Dumb looks still free ... yup, I just this moment logged on to change it.
Glad you found the right command anyhow, and sorry it didn't work.

Have you checked the permissions? The file should
be readable by the portage user.

I just tried network-2.2.1.7 in portage and it emerges
fine. Maybe just try re-syncing your tree and see if that fixes it.
