hey folks!
happy new year!
since i have a googlemail account, i would be happy to have my gentoo box next to my iphone beeing able to sync my google contacts. after some research, i tripped over googledata for akonadi. but it doesn't seem to be in portage as well as it's dependance libgcal.
where can i find it and how can i install it?
will it hit portage in the near future (i'm not a big fan of overlays...)?
many thanks in advance!

Both libgcal and googledata have existing ebuilds among their bugs at bugs.gentoo.org
I set up my box to work with this this morning. No problem emerging them.
Played with it a while today and found that it's not exactly free from bugs.
Unstable connection, slow update of the calendar and contacts - probably at google's side.
Even though there are alot of things to go thru once again, this is a good start for the googledata akonadi resource that acctually works. _________________ I never stop to amaze about the advanced features of the human body's simplicity

Both googledata and libgcal are in the kde overlay. I use them and they work but still have fairly basic abilities. They're also not being updated all that much. _________________ My emerge --info
Have you run revdep-rebuild lately? It's in gentoolkit and it's worth a shot if things don't work well.
