Hhm, I get a

If I don't use this minimal xorg.conf:

FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/corefonts"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/intlfonts"

EndSection

I didn't had have any success when I changed the font path manually w/o a xorg.conf (xset +fp ...).

Any hints how to start xboard w/o a xorg.conf ?
