Hello

Does anyone have already managed to build a gentoo on the latest MIPS64 architectures ?

Are there any profile for this architecture ?
Does anyone have tried to take a mips32 stage1 and bring out a mips64 stage1 using some already existing hardware ?

Thank you in advance

the problem is which mips64 hw? ... personally i can't find for cheap
building a stage (with Qemu) is too amazing works: i can confirm, cause i am doing it now for a mips1-little endian

also, you have to consider mips is ~mips, in every modern profiles

I wish to target CAVIUM Networks Octeon Plus CN56XX. It is a 12 core processor with network coprocessors. This machine is currently running with a 32bit linux and I think it could be feasible to try to compile the Gentoo on it. But I am not sure I could make it simply configuring the make.conf file.

Do you have any ideas how I could try that ?
