are you getting segmentation faults with libjemalloc.so (see output of dmesg) ?

if yes try using an older libjemalloc.so

No, everything's fine there.

Did it work for you?

or I check on next build.

it built fine for me

the only requirement was to use and rather old libjemalloc.so (the newer one would lead to segmentation faults during compilation and also showing in output of dmesg)

dmesg has been silent here except for two drkonqi segfaults:

you are not alone, one ooo-build hacker has that install fuzz, too.
let's see what will happen.

somehow it wants python. o well, ...

edit #1
okay, so you either need python or java at build-time. :o

maybe installed but useflag enabled? :o
anyway pkg_setup() has a check now until this is fixed properly, see https://bugs.gentoo.org/300020

albright
there will be a patch soon.

edit #1
overlay updated; patch in ooo-build for albright.

Ok, retrying now with your latest ebuild, thx. :)

Preferring +python because I don't want to get a load of additional deps incl. tomcat-4 if setting +java...

Interesting however, it always built before...

tomcat-4 is not a dep. only its servlet and not with useflag [java]. ;)

edit #1
one of the recent app-text/poppler micro-updates render pdfimport unusable.
I wonder if a recompile of openoffice helps.
( latest version 0.12.3-r3 )

openoffice built fine now, thx :)

Hm, you're right about tomcat. Still, no need for a java-enabled openoffice here. :)

I'm btw still having the garbled status bar, but it's not really a dealbreaker.

I've just built it with poppler-0.12.3-r3, what should I do to reproduce?

one hacker said that poppler 0.12.2 breaks api.
so an upgrade to that or later version breaks pdfimport.
and a recompile of OOo solves that.

vanilla OOo does not use poppler, so it is unaffected; what I heared,

kde4 drawing is broken, here or there.
please let me know as soon as its fixed. I do not build OOo/KDE4 anymore. :)
anyone kick gentoo/kde team to add the fixes to kde-4.3. :?
not really amused about their responsiveness.

8O

thanks for the heads-up !

Yeah, that's definitely a blocker

I hope it doesn't affect odt-files but according to that bug-report it could be everything, I guess :(

another one, home-brewed! :?

=> removed the redland depend since OOo 3.2 uses librdf finally and OOo ships a heavily patched and old version.

I wonder if the following case is derived from above.
Quote:
create ods, add simple formula, save, close OOo, start OOo, open ods, double-click formula => termination: DisposedException ; on a side-node the formula text is invisible but in edit mode.
