Two days ago I added
Kod:
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64"

to my /etc/make.conf ( I used a lot of ~amd64 packages anyway). After updating whole world (a few hundreds packages) I can't print. My printer is Samsung ML-2010PR.

I wiped /etc/cups and then reemerged cups and splix. I now can't add printer to cups. When I visit http://localhost:631/admin then click "Add printer" ( translating back to english I have LINGUAS="pl" ) I see something like
Code:

Local printers:    SCSI printer
Detected network printers:
Other network printers:    Host or LPD/LPR printer
AppSocket/HP JetDirect
Windows Printer via SAMBA
Internetowy protokół druku (ipp)
Internetowy protokół druku (http)
Internetowy protokół druku (https)

Code:
# emerge -pv  cups splix

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

[ebuild   R   ] net-print/splix-1.1.1  0 kB

Code:

Hi

Have you disabled the use of the usblp module in the kernel.

From /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
Code:

# hplip and cups 1.4+ use raw USB devices, so it requires usblp not be loaded
blacklist usblp

On install the blacklist usblp is commented out.

I had it in kernel ( not as a module). I removed it and now printer works. Thank you, keyson.
