Hi,
I am using firefox 3.5.5 with UTF-8 (View/Character Encoding) under KDE 4.3.3 and it doesn't display Chinese characters. It's not that I could read them but it looks very ugly. Same thing in Konqueror, so it must be a UTF-8 problem in general. Greek characters for example are displayed properly and I have no problems to read and write German documents, too.
The characters all look like rectangles which contain two hexadecimal digits (I guess that are the unicode bytes). In Konqueror there are just squares. (I saw these squares once before in a fresh install of kde, emerging corefonts finally removed them and brought me English characters).
Any ideas, what I can do? Maybe I have to install the proper font packages? _________________ LILA - Live Iptables Log Analyzer |
