Hi there,
This weekend I managed to install MythTV 0.22.
It only took 4,5 hours of compiling on a VIA Nehemia backend.
One of the main reasons for me to upgrade is DVB-S2 support.
However, I can't get that part to work.
I have a Technotrend TT Budget 3200 card. This card supports DVD-S2 and is supported by the default kernel.

I have kernel 2.6.31-gentoo-r5 installed, with the correct drivers for this card. (Not as modules.)
I can perfectly use this card with DiSEqC and normal DVB-S transponders, but I get no lock with DVB-S2 ones.
I understand the "dvbtune" utility doesn't work with DVB-S2 transponders, so I do not have a way to test.
When configuring the DVB card in MythTV, it displays it as a "DVB-S" card, with DVB API 3.5, so I think this is the problem as my understanding is I need DVB 5 for S2API support.
Is there anything else I need to install?
I couldn't find any USE flags related to DVB-S2, or S2API.
Or is there anything else I am missing for correctly configuring this card?
Certain options when configuring the kernel?
Best regards,
Johan. _________________ This signature is under construction...
