I think im going to try manually applying the grsec patches to zen-stable.git
should be a fun day ahead of me
Had a fun one yesterday - the ~arch hardened-sources couldnt mount my btrfs volumes (i somewhat expected this). Tried the one from anarchy overlay, it 404'd snagging the grsec patch. I copied the ebuild to a local overlay, modified for correct path to patch - success, it builds, but hangs right after uncompressing the kernel image despite nolapic/noapic/acpi=off/any other cmd-line instruction.
So now it's time to pull in zen-stable.git, make sure I can get it booting, then apply the grsec patch and see how I go. Oh, this is for a KVM guest too, so one more layer of complexity! I think that will be much easier than trying to merge only the btrfs upstream into a 2.6.29 kernel that already has the gsec patches applied.
Fun times.
I'll not sully your thread with heaps of OT banter. In the unlikely event I get this working I will certainly share. _________________ Lost configuring your system?
