|
|
Hi,
I'm a Qt / KDE user. I like Qt / KDE. They work how I want.
Firefox / GTK open file dialogs have decided that I want things autocompleted automatically. Not even suggestions. I type /usr/l and immediately I have /usr/local. I personally find this extremely annoying.
Since the GTK/Gnome devs don't think users should be offered any options, there's no option in the file dialog window to toggle this behavior.
How do I disable it, preferably without installing large amount of gnome crud on my system? |

goto about:config and try toggling browser.urlbar.autocomplete
or maybe it's autocomplete.grab_during_popup
of course it's probably hidden better than this... |

It's not the url bar. It's the file open dialog. I doubt it's controlled by firefox at all - it's most likely a gtk setting. |
