we did august, why not:

01/09/2003 (DD/MM/YYYY makes a lot more sense)

EDIT 05/09/2003: my system fucked up so i have no webserver and have lost my website and screenshots and everything so this won't work,

Rules:
- Tell people what's on your desktop, and where to find it!
- Don't post huge screenshots in the thread, use thumbnails
- Don't make it a "babe" thread, that's just cheap

Might aswell post it here, I was showing of a cluttered Gnome2.4beta2 desktop on another forum, so I had the screenshot online:

Link to Freak_NL's desktop

Fairly busy desktop. :P

I used this diagram to explain some windows users why my desktop is 1824*768.. Somehow they expect a black rectangle somewhere when you use a 15" and 17" monitor together? :? ;)

viperlin: do you really use 6 virtual desktops? :?

I have 8, I regularly get up to using 6 virtual desktops tho :D I basically have all functionally similar apps on the same desktop, so I have xchat and kmess, xmms and kplayer/gxine, a web browser scaled down because i think 1280x1024 is too big for maximised browsing, a custom konqueror window with embedded terminal that moves with the GUI browsing, 2 konsoles etc.

Are you supposed to repost your desktop if it hasn't changed? Well, this one won't take a lot of space (nor a lot of time to load), so... http://www.lyseo.edu.ouka.fi/~lighten/desktops/virtdesktop4c.png . It's quite clean, aye? (running evilwm)

Just scratch the last part of the path... http://www.lyseo.edu.ouka.fi/~lighten/desktops/

Remember... I wouldn't be using it if I hadn't sold my soul to the window manager...

Nice, cleaned up KDE with a few apps open, and a slightly naughty but nonetheless very funky background pic :)

I love music editing apps. It's like hackers, when they decide to make a multimedia app that needs a lot of controls, just close their eyes and randomly distribute widgets across the screen, then try to use weird colour schemes to make it a little clearer.

Here's mine:
http://linuxcult.com/gallery/entry.show.php?s=&entryid=427&show=screen

DE: KDE
Widget set: ThinKeramik
Window decoration: Plastik
Color scheme: Redmond XP (modified titlebar color)
Background: Something off deviantART...
Fonts: Luxi Sans [B&h], and Cure and Anorexia from the artwiz fonts package.

As you can see, I played a lot with Kicker... I wanted it to be more similar to Fluxbox (I wanted the screen real estate of Fluxbox and the functionality and eye-candy of KDE), and I got what I wanted...
My main menu is on middle-click... ;-)

Here is mine for this month. Kde-cvs (although i still can't get kdemultimedia to compile right) with superkaramba DynBar theme, the apple icon set, the new Plastik style and window dec, xmms karamba theme to display album covers relative to whats playing, and i can't forget to point out my window shadows. A patch for kde-cvs and kde-3.x can be found here[kde-look.org]. I'm getting an iBook (hopefully) in a few days, so i'd thought i get used to the look :)

How do you set a url for the NS sidebar in konq? I got it on the list, but say i do a url like www.cnn.com, and i get a malformed URL. Please do tell.

You need to lookup their actual sidebar url.. for example, CNN's is http://sidebar.cnn.com/browsers/ns6/sidebar.html

It's Largo's wmaker theme. :D With a fluxbox mix however, not sure how he got the dock, but it'd be very interesting if he could tell us.

Here's mine, it's not wmaker but hey.
