You people sending inline screenshots of your desktop should be shot! Not everybody has a broadband connection to the internet, think about us porr modem users!!!! Why can't you just put up a thumbnail with a link to the bigger image?

here's mine.
http://solidunit.dhs.org/Screenshot.png
I have a love affair with svg icons
This is my bloatware desktop with gnome2.4 and nuvola themes. I usually use Xfce with the gnome-panel and rox-filer. But I must say, performance and stability of gnome 2.4 is pretty swell[/url] |

Where did you get that theme? The one you call nuvola or something.
Thanks in advance. _________________ DnB is my religion, Jungle is my church. |

Actually it's Gnome 2.2.2 with some gdesklets... actually i'm a kde-addict but recently i'm in love with Gnome...
the window decoration's called 6nome and the icons are a mix of Tux'n Tosh, Nuvola and Aqua.
Please don't ask me where to download the wallpaper... I really can't remember
But I could put it online somewhere if needed
be aware: the pic's about 1MB
@semiSfear: you can delete it on your own... i'm sure you can do it ;-P
you just have to edit your post and select delete post |

Since I just spent a few hours adjusting themes and messing with graphics I suppose I'll post a screenshot. I'm not nearly done with it (background sucks, hence I'm covering it up) so I'll probably post another one soon. One thing I really like about Nautilus in 2.4 is that you can put the text beside the icon, rather than under it. I don't know, something about it gives a much cleaner appearance, especially in a very full directory.
Window Borders: Mist (my all time fav)
Controls: Red Hats Bluecurve-grape (new 0.81 version)
Icons: Well, thats a secret for now
LTCandy gDesklets with custom icons, Nautilus displaying home dir, and Musik playing one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands.

Great icons!
BTW, how did you get rid of the throbber in Nautilus? Mine keeps crashing anyway (doesn't crash Nautilus but it's still annoying) so I'd like to just get rid of it. _________________ Ecchi nano wo ikenai to omoimasu! |

Alright alright, I've bee found out. They are indeed the GANT icon set. I'm currently working on making an actual icons theme from them. Its fairly annoying, but eh. Once I get it done I'll ask permission to post it. For now, they look great on my desktop. I'll be making a custom GTK2 theme with them as well. Hopefully the author will agree to allow it to be published. If not, well.. they still look great on my desktop. _________________ Go find a cheerleader and saw her legs off. - Nny |

I was just about to start converting the icons over myself when I saw your post. I think I'll just wait now. Hopefully it won't be too long. Thanks a lot for spending the time to make a icon theme out of them.
BTW, I don't think you'll have any problems getting permission to port them. He seems to be making them with multiple platforms in mind. You can see his post at Design Technika. |
