I'm really assuming I'm screwing something up here, but I'm far too stupid to figure it out, here's my portage info:

Hello,
I have a same problem with my station, I solve it by reset/compile/install kernel !!!!!!
I use a some wrong settings under kernel and gcc refuse to compile after first reboot
I not find what wrong but now ......
If this info can't help you, I don't have any idea or knowledge to help you. |

Show us the config.log. emerge should have given you a directory after
"

"
It's in there. If there is no directory given, it's something like /var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/glibc-2.9_p20081201-r2/work/glibc-2.9_p20081201-r2 .
BTW: wrong forum, it's not a amd64 specific problem. |
