I've got a Sun Blade 100 and I'm trying to put gentoo on it.
When booting the install cd, it fails on: | Code: | | mount: mounting /dev/loop0 on /newroot/mnt/livecd failed: Invalid argument |
Checking dmesg I see:
| Code: | SQUASHFS error: squashfs_read_data failed to read block 0x0
SQUASHFS error: unable to read squashfs_super_block |
I tried booting it with ide=nodma to no avail. If anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears.

That was it, I didn't even realize I was using the latest autobuild. 2008.0 boots fine with ide=nodma passed in on the command line.
EDIT:
made it to the command line with 2008.0, however it always dies with

EDIT2:
letting it sit for a little, it does hand me back to a command prompt and I can continue with the install.
