Hi,
I have a problem with my +Fn key. Most of combinations doesn't work - only Fn+F7 turn off my lcd. Xev don't recognize those combinations.
Is it possible to make it work?
To be honest I need it only to change brightness of my lcd.
If there is easier way to do it I would be very grateful.

I don't know what information would you need, so please tell me and I will try to provide them as soon as I can.

Hm. There's a program - an x utility, I think - where you can load keyboard configs and customise what certain keys do. I just can't remember the name of it at the moment... I'll have to come back to this thread if I think of it.

Didn't know Asus makes laptops. Neat!

I think you need to look at xev.

And audiodef is talking about xmodmap.

I'm not sure it was xmodmap I was thinking about. Eventually I want to find what I was thinking of because I want to use it on a laptop I have.

Maybe you were referring to xkeycaps? It's a front end to xmodmap.
