this is a weird problem. My mouse in the Q3 menu moves quite slow (it's usable but feels weird) and to make the mouse move fast ingame, I have to use sensitivities around 10, while it's around 3 in Windows and I'm pretty sure that it was around 3 in Linux too when I played Quake 3 the last time in Debian or RedHat.
I can live with that, just wondered if it's usual? Maybe it's because of a new mouse, not sure if I had this very same mouse when I played in Linux last time. Is there a way to speed the mouse generally up so it doesn't feel like yelly anymore in the menu? It's the same weither I start Q3 from Gnome or exclusive (echo "exec quake3" > ~/.xinitrc && startx) so it's not the Gnome mouse setting.
Update: It's even worse, mouse acceleration is on.
