Just read the 'Gentoo x11-libs/libxcb 1.4 Upgrade Guide' before upgraing to x11-base/xorg-server-1.6. After an emerge --sync I have x11-base/xorg-server-1.6.3.901-r2 listed as x86, but libxcb-1.4 is listed as ~x86. The latest x86 version of libxcv is 1.1. My system is almost completely x86, and I often run emerge -D world. Should I mask >=x11-base/xorg-server-1.6 until x11-libs/libxcb-1.4 is stable?

Wait and --sync again in 1-2 hours and it will be fixed.

You --synced in a bad time.

My internet connection is really slow, so committing about 90 packages to stable takes some hours. Sync in about an hour from now on and you will see no problems anymore.
