I'm curious...
I read on a blog somewhere that there's been some problems "down stairs" with gentoo. I guess the development team is having some disagreements or something. The guy said that there's been some really weird decisions as far as what stays and what goes and what gets added. He say's that it would be nice if they resolved their differences and got on to greater things.
So.... is this true? If there are problems down stairs, what kind of problems? This is not going to keep gentoo from being... gentoo, is it?
Thanks a lot!

Judging by the thread title, I thought this was going to be about monitoring a Gentoo server located in the basement. |

Don't believe everything you read on "some blog". What you mention is all very vague, so I can't really answer that without knowing specifically what was referred to. But there aren't currently any big problems that I'm aware of. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

Is there somewhere a single free-project with more than one free-contributors in which there are no problems of this kind ?
I believe that free-expression is coherent with free-projects.
One wants a project without free-discussions, with precise organization, precise schedule, priorities and everybody obeying ?
That one must choose his software elsewhere than in the free-world.
Who would work in such projects for free ?... |

Down stairs? I was sure this thread was going to be about Gentoo down under. Why I even clicked on it is a mystery. _________________

<trolling>
Because it is linked to what is called in project management a Step Change !
your down under as well as gentoo-dev's down hill are much more linked to Continuous Improvement !
