The strange thing is, it doesn't freeze either. It just seems to wait forever for something shortly after shutting off syslog-ng. The keyboard still works(but is useless without login), the disk's still going(and something generates a slight bit of activity once in a blue moon), and I can even switch virtual consoles. I saw similar things if tries to unload ALSA modules - they get stuck. You don't have an old /etc/conf.d/alsasound which says unload modules
on stop, by any chance ? |
