lately I get a lot of these errors when syncing via rsync:
Code:
io timeout after 180 seconds -- exiting
rsync error: timeout in data send/receive (code 30) at io.c(200) [receiver=3.0.5]
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (2159 bytes received so far) [generator]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(600) [generator=3.0.5]

my internet connection is ok, is there a possibility for hardware/configure problem?

I'm using rsync://rsync.europe.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage which gives me different servers each time, I'm leanning to the fact that it is my isp but I want to rule out the other option.

ok, solved, it's my crappy isp, syncing against the server in my home country (no that updated, that is why I don't use it) broke the world record in speed for syncing.
