If you want to contribute a graphic to Gentoo, please use the Gentoo Forums first so others can comment and help you improve the quality of the graphic. Then contact the Gentoo WWW team and ask for your graphic to be included.
The team may decide not to include your artwork if it is too close to existing graphics, is not available in sufficient resolutions, does not fit the Gentoo spirit (for instance because it is offensive) or any other reason.
Including a graphic on the page can take some time, please be patient. |
To contact the Gentoo WWW team, send an e-mail to www@gentoo.org _________________ meow. |

Thanks. I meant this method while I was saying 'put', I just couldn't express myself correctly; sorry, I'm not a native english speaker.
Mail sent. |

|
|
| I don't see any 468x60 banners (a standard size for AdSense and banner exchanges) on http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/graphics.xml and there aren't any working links on this thread for such banners. I'm looking for something to put on my blog instead of AdSense to encourage people to check out Gentoo. Does anyone know where I can find such a banner? Can someone who is good at this kind of thing make some? I'd very much appreciate it. |

A friend and I are working on some new banners (both serious and silly) and I'll post them here as they're completed. For starters here's a kitschy one in 180x60:

Here's a 468x60 based on a new design, going for a subtle, understated effect:

More to come...
Edit Updated png

A "get foo"-style button reading "emerge gentoo", in 180x60:

Edit Updated png. I switched from Inkscape to Xara Xtreme for Linux (which is in the Sunrise overlay for anyone who wants to try it)
