|
|
After a recent upgrade of my system, Psi seems to be a bit messed up.
First of all the fonts changed. Ok I can live with that, but it also refuses to connect to any server. On top of that it has an insane processor load, but right now that doesnt matter that much since I can't use psi anyways.
I am running Psi 0.12.1 on KDE3.5
The updates that (probably) broke Psi were:
x11-libs/qt-core-4.5.1
x11-libs/qt-script-4.5.1
x11-libs/qt-dbus-4.5.1
x11-libs/qt-gui-4.5.1
x11-libs/qt-sql-4.5.1
x11-libs/qt-qt3support-4.5.1
Did anyone run into the same problem or know how to fix this?
The best think I could think of was recompiling psi, but that didn't do anything.
The next messenger that broke was Kopete. This time it was killed by the recent KDE 3.5.9 -> 3.5.10 update on x86.
Basically the update deleted all my profiles. Ok, so recreate them - but it crashes when I try to do that.
So I have no profiles and cant add any so that IM is dead too.
Help a poor guy who is now without instant messengers. |

OK, the Kopete thingy was a simple use-flag issue.
With my old use-settings Kopete was compiled without support for anything.
The problem with Psi persists though |

|

I've recently noticed the same problem myself (on amd64, if that matters). I saw a few emerge notes recently that QT-based packages could have some issues if their libraries were not rebuilt. I wonder if that's related.
Did you ever get it resolved? _________________ Greg T. |
