Has anyone been able to use this "feature" without having their kernel blow-up before it even gets to init? _________________ Git has obsoleted SVN.

I wish I could actually help you but I don't know how. I'll describe my own experience with that option, however.
It works for me, system boots up with no problem, but I get some very strange problems with Xorg. After a while, my mouse cursor will move to the far side of the screen and absolutely WILL NOT move away from it and the only thing to do is kill the X server and reload it, only to have the same thing happen again after a few minutes. So, considering how many other security features I use from the Gentoo Hardened project, I let this one go and I no longer use it. |

Yes, it works for me. Where does your kernel panic? What architecture are you using? What kernel version? Has KERNEXEC worked for you in older kernels? |

I can't see it panic because it's an out-of-state VPS in California. It's a 2.6.29 i686 running under Xen (with hardware virtualization). _________________ Git has obsoleted SVN.
