kikou,
je recommence l'installation toujours en stage 3, j'ai tout fais comme la fois d'avant, avec les mêmes CD, mais ce coup-ci avec la doc anglaise.
Bref tout mais vraiment tout se passe bien jusqu'au moment ou je passe en chroot. Quand je tape : chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash , j'ai la sortie suivante : -bash: No such file or directory (mais il est con c'est pas possible, il me dit lui-même qu'il n'existe pas !!  )
Bref, euh la je vois pas trop. Du coup bah je suis un peu bloqué quand même... Pourtant la commande mount -t proc proc /mnt/gentoo/proc , aucun problème.

Il m'est arrivé la même chose une fois, après un problème avec le HD. J'ai du reformater et réinstaller...
En fait bash est bien là, mais il y a un problème pour l'exécution. J'avais posté le problème ici même.

| le répertoire /mnt/gentoo existe bien ? Pareil pour /bin/bash, tu as vérifié que quand tu tapes cette commande tu as bien /bin/bash ? |

vi vi le rep /mnt/gentoo est monté et /bin/bash existe bien !

en ce qui me concerne la solution, c'est bootage sur le LiveCD et recommence tout !!! 
C'est un peu barbare, mais à vrai dire je m'y connais pas trop pour faire autre chose
