I installed the latest stepmania CVS snapshot (3.9 alpha 20), and compiled it successfully. I didn't use BMG's ebuild, either.
Is anybody else getting issues with it? When I start a song, everything is fine until the 1st Stage disappears and the stars come up to sweep the screen. Then my brightness gets really really low. So low, in fact, that I can barely read teh screen. The brightness issues contiune until I exit the program, or reset some of the graphics settings. _________________ word. |

n/m this bug has been fixed in the recently released Stepmania-3.9-alpha 21.
So now I'm trying to get my pads to work. I'm too lazy and too poor to go out and buy a usb converter, so I built one to DirectPadPro specifications. It uses the parallel port. However, I'm having a little troube getting the gamecon driver to work properly.
gamecon.c is the kernel interface to joysticks on the parallel port. So I compiled it in, and set this on my grub line:
gamecon.map=lp0,7,7,7,7
which is what the Documentation told me to. However, dmesg makes no mention of gamecon, although my lp0 is mentioned. cat /dev/input/js0 returns no such device. _________________ word. |
