I'm trying to setup a server with Gentoo linux, however every package I go to install, i.e. php, it tries to install X, qt, a bunch of media libs and stuff like that, which I don't need.
Anyway to mask all the Desktop packages all together? If so.. how?

Gah! So many times has this been posted, with PHP in particular, and my answer has always been the same: RTFM. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

After I had set up my USE variables, I had a package that wouldn't emerge. I forget which package,
but I don't recall reading this in the USE doc.
I think a section needs to be added explaining what you mentioned in the thread I linked to above. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
