Hi,
I have downloaded a bin file and I'd like to convert it to iso so I can burn it. Is it possible to do this with linux?
Thanks for your help! |

do you have the cuefile? If so you can burn it fine (I think you use cdrdao for .bin/.cue). Without it i think the bin is useless. _________________ Aim:gsfgf0 |

trinity,
You can do it the hard way with mkisofs (Make ISO File System) then burn it.
What is is the content of the *.bin file?
If its already the imange of a CD, then just burn it.
Try mount -o loop -t iso9660 /path/to/*bin/ /mnt/some_mount_point if you don't know. If your *.bin is a CD image, this will mount it like a CD.
You need loop device support in your kernel for this.

You can have bin2iso generate a cue file. It works well for single track CD's./ _________________ what up |

This won't work. I have no idea why, but it won't work. A better solution would be to emerge virtualcd. It is the only method that I know of that will allow you to mount the bin/cue image to the filesystem. _________________ Postcount ++ |

Get FireBurner for Linux. It will burn your bin/cue pair to a CD.

I was mostly talking about mounting the bin/cue miages. For burning them I use cdrdao. It burns them with no problem at all. _________________ Postcount ++ |

The best thing todo is use "www.daemon-tools.com" or mount in linux. to mount the image. Then use a CDRW tool to make a ISO image using that mount. _________________ http://www.mooktakim.com
