im getting an error on boot strap. I figure its just a problem with the portage tree. Any ideas? Any suggestions/fixes?

Code:

!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 12, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)
!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/sys-apps/textinfo/textinfo-4.2-r5.ebuild .

Make sure you are using a tarball appropriate for your CPU. For example, using a 686 stage3 on a Pentium or K6 could cause this.

Code:
# less /proc/cpuinfo
should tell you everything you would ever want to know.

problem was in the /etc/make.conf. he has it optimised for pentium 2 arch, when it was really just a pentium 233 with MMX.

thx for the help guys, i appreciate it.
