Ultra 5 won't boot from CD

Hi

I've checked my cd against the md5sum and its pukka.

However when I do the boot cdrom gentoo it starts to load gets to Mounted devfs on /dev and then it just sits there doing nothing :!:

Anybody got any suggestions :?:

It can take a while for it to do something especially on slow CDROM drives.

How long did you wait? Also what kind of CDROm is it?
