I have not updated my AMD64 box in about 6-9 months.
I just did an emerge --sync. No surprise but there is a newer version of portage which I emerged.
I then did an emerge --system. Once again portage is being compiled. Strange.
I then did an emege --world. EVERY package that was already compiled is ONCE again on the list to be emerged!
Did something change in the last 6-9 months that I am not aware of?
Thanks. |

I think I solved my own question.
The default behavior may have changed in the interim
Before, emerge system updated the system entries. Now, emerge -u system is needed! |
