Evolution 1.0.8 comes rpm only?

Does anyone knows what's going on with Ximian?
A couple of days ago -- June 27th -- they released Evolution 1.0.8. But the latest source tarballs from ftp://ftp.ximian.com/pub/source/evolution/ are version 1.0.7. That's also the latest version in Gentoo. RPMs and SRPMs are available. But no tarballs. Does Ximian supports non-rpm distros nevermore? I really wonder. Well, maybe I don't wonder...

i would think its more like lazyness or forgetfullness. There are not many brave souls who compile evolution from source
