I authenticate myself fine using wpa_supplicant in the case of WPA or using iwconfig in the case of WEP. It works fine, I get a message that the autentication is completed, but then I try to get IP with dhcpcd, it usually won't connect and if it does, I still cannot reach the net, nor ping the DHCP server from where I've got the IP. ifconfig and route fail in the same way. Both works fine with wired ethernet...
Do you have any ideas, what simple noob-mistakes might I have done? It used to work fine a while ago with Debian Sid, but now I'm running Gentoo and Debian Stable and I cannot connect with neither of them.
The wireless card is Realtek RTL 8187b, which should be supported fine in 2.6.27 and 28 kernel... (In Debian I use myself-compiled 2.6.28 ).
Thanks in advance!

O! M! F! G! Now it works. The same network, just in another building and it runs like hell... I don't understand it . Because my friend running Windows were doing fine in the first building...
d2_racing: thank you for your attention anyway. If the problem will be here again, I'll post it |
