zoneminder 1.24.0

Hello i have installed zoneminder 1.23.3 from the portage tree and have it working quite nicely, Now that version 1.24.0 is released i would like to know the when where who how long before an ebuild get built for the 1.24.0 version. Is it already avliable? is someone working on it? how do i find such information out? call me a gentoo newbie i guess

Anyhow if it does not exist i figure i could probably install it from source at zoneminder website however i would rather give an ebuild back to the gentoo community is it hard to build a ebuild? could i use most of the stuff from the older ebuild?

I have been but as you can see about all it states is that 1.24 is released which would fix the problems, but no mention of a new ebuild to match current version of zoneminder, I also contacted gentoofan23 and others who i think is in charge of the zoneminder ebuild but have gotten no reponse.

someone already asked for the new revision.
From the changelog of zoneminder : http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Change_History#Release_1.24.0,
the update of the ebuild may not be an easy task.
So either be patient or get dirty and try to modify the ebuild to test the new version : only the version number at first and maybe the deps, so gentoofan23 can have something to work with if he had not time yet.
