I recently noticed that glibc has a "gd" USE flag. It seems weird to me that glibc would depend on media-libs/gd, which is a library to generate graphics on the fly. Does this USE flag signify something else in this case? |

I don't see any more info about that :
Code: |
gentootux ~ # euse -I gd
global use flags (searching: gd)
************************************************************
[- ] gd - Adds support for media-libs/gd (to generate graphics on the fly)
Installed packages matching this USE flag:
sys-libs/glibc-2.6.1
dev-lang/php-5.2.8-r2
local use flags (searching: gd)
