|

Hello, I'm probably missing something simple here, but hey... I've been away from Gentoo/linux for a while so it's not fresh to me anymore
Anyway.... So a few weeks ago, I was updating something on my Gentoo box. Unfortunately, since it was a few weeks ago, I don't really remember what I was updating, so that kind of sucks. I thought I had finished up with the update(s), and everything seemed to be running fine.
However, the other day, I was trying to mount a floppy disk, when I discovered that I apparently "lost" my mount command:
Code: | ~ # mount /mnt/floppy
-su: mount: command not found
|
or
Code: | ~ # mount
-su: mount: command not found
~ # /bin/mount
-su: /bin/mount: No such file or directory
|
So now I'm worried that if my machine gets rebooted, it won't be able to re-mount the filesystems on boot and that could be bad
Soooo, what I need to know is what package do I need to emerge to get my mount command back? I can't do an emerge -Duv system right now, because I have some blocking packages (old X11 stuff) that prevent that from happening. I don't use X11 much so I guess I could unmerge that and then try the system emerge, but I'd rather just get my mount command back for now and leave my X alone for the time being...
So if anyone has any suggestions that would be great! thx! _________________ Come play poker online w/me @ Bodoglife.com! US players welcome! |

You're welcome!
BTW, for sake of completeness:
Code: | user@linubox ~ $ equery belongs equery
[ Searching for file(s) equery in *... ]
app-portage/gentoolkit-0.2.4.2-r1 (/usr/bin/equery) |
