was doing my daily update world, and got this (mjpegtools-1.6.0-r2.ebuild)

------------
/usr/lib/libquicktime.so: undefined reference to `raw1394_errcode_to_errno'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [lavplay] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mjpegtools-1.6.0-r2/work/mjpegtools-1.6.0/lavtools'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mjpegtools-1.6.0-r2/work/mjpegtools-1.6.0'
make: *** [all] Error 2

!!! ERROR: The ebuild did not complete successfully.
!!! Function src_compile, Line -90, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)

!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/media-video/mjpegtools/mjpegtools-1.6.0-r2.ebuild .
---------------------

is anyone else having problems with this? solutions on how to fix it?

i'm using a 1.2 install, with all updates prior to this applied. Portage 2.0.11, gcc 2.95.3-r7, etc.

Hey, I'm also having problems with that ebuild. I also have all of the latest packages, but I'm using gcc 3.1.1. I was thinking it was a problem with my version of gcc, but now I suppose that it must be something else. I wonder how many others are running into this problem....

Hrm, well since nobody seems to know why this is happening, I guess we'll just have to wait until the next ebuild of mjpegtools is released.

Same problem here. If you don't need quicktime4linux support, you might want to compile mjpegtools with the -quicktime USE flag set in /etc/make.conf, that's what I just used as a workaround.
