k. This went from one subject to another.. Been finding this out on my own..
It looks like udev isn't getting set properly upon bootup. Should I add this to the rc file (rc-update)?
--> ORIGINAL POST <--
Code: | I've been having this problem since the last 2.6.27 kernel. I have it compiled into my kernel, but it just doesn't see it. WTH?
[ 2.253371] Equalizer2002: Simon Janes (simon@ncm.com) and David S. Miller (davem@redhat.com)
[ 2.260630] tun: Universal TUN/TAP device driver, 1.6
[ 2.266923] tun: (C) 1999-2004 Max Krasnyansky <maxk@qualcomm.com>
[ 2.273375] ipddp.c:v0.01 8/28/97 Bradford W. Johnson <johns393@maroon.tc.umn.edu>
EDIT: Well, I found one problem.. Why it decided to put it in /dev/net/tun is beyond me.. Can I just create a symlink at /dev/tun? |

k..
Looks like upgrading was a bigger problem to begin with.. Not much is working and found out udev is not run upon bootup..
Should I add this? If so, do I add it under boot or default? (EDIT: It goes in 'sysinit')
Also, do I add all 4? (udev, udev-dev-tarball, udev-mount, udev-postmount)? |
