Hi guys.
My vlc is going crazy...
First check out my vlc UI: http://img393.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screenshotvlcmediaplayegs8.png
Then subtitles never worked for me...
vlc flags
Code: | Installed versions: 0.9.8a(03:35:55 12/22/08)(X a52 aalib alsa dbus dvd ffmpeg flac gnome gnutls libcaca libgcrypt matroska mp3 mpeg ncurses nsplugin ogg opengl png qt4 sdl stream svg theora v4l x264 xml} |
Any ideas ?

That happened to me too. On top of that the "Integrate video in interface" option seems to be broken because I can only play videos in a separate XV output window.
EDIT: I just found this http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=53907#p176843 So I guess it's a Gentoo issue...hopefully there will be a 0.9.8b version out soon |

Yeah choogi thanks for your hint.
Guess what I reemerged vlc with flag "SKINS", and now the interface is okay. But worst, I can't change the theme, when I load any theme (.vlt file) I get from the videolan website it says:
can't parse file."File empty" or "file corrupted..."
I think I'll change my main media reader and use something else :/ _________________ TUXoholic |

Check out smplayer. I've been using it for a few days now and it's been good so far. |
