|
|
i want to compile my kernel (amd64) and this works.
But it show's that the kernel is in arch/x86/boot/bzImage.
I'm confused, because the instructions manual tells, that the kernel should be in arch/x86_64/boot/bzImage.
Is it now 32 or 64 bit?
Does someone have an advice / explanation?
thanks for help
(excuse me for my bad english) |

Not really, it's just a symlink
Code: | $ ls -l /usr/src/linux/arch/x86_64/boot
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Jun 11 16:27 bzImage -> ../../x86/boot/bzImage |

To see what executable you have use file command:
Code: |
~# file /boot/vmlinuz-`uname -r`
