smartd problems

I have the same config file and script (roughly) that I use on two machines, one machine is 32bit one is 64bit.

using this line in smartd.conf
/dev/sda -a -d ata -m root@localhost -M test -M exec /etc/smartd_mailer.sh

works fine on the 32bit box but not the 64bit. I have recompiled them both and same problem.

Has anyone else had this issue?
