I've noticed that my TTYs sometimes disappear. The screen is completely black but any processes continue to run and accept input from the keyboard. All six TTYs disappear but X11 still works normally. This happens only occasionally and I have no idea what is causing it. Has anyone else seen this behavior?
If it matters, here what lspci says about my video card:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) |

You might want to try passing a lower resolution to uvesafb in your kernel parameters and/or turning off your splash image. |

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not using uvesafb (or any frame buffer devices for that matter).
I wonder if it has something to do with pommed. I definitely had pommed running last time it happened, but I don't remember whether it only happens when pommed is running. |

It turns out that it happens even when pommed is not running. |
