I just ran a system update and must have screwed up a config file with etc-update. When I log in to my computer via ssh now I'm getting two welcome lines instead of the usual one. One lists the previous login time and location and the other lists the one before that: | Code: | Password:
Last login: Sat Nov 29 02:08:47 EST 2008 from dsl________ on pts/0
Last login: Sat Nov 29 11:26:44 2008 from dsl________ |
As you can see, the first line includes the time zone and "on pts/0".
I looked in /etc/ssh/sshd_config and sshc_config but found nothing in either of those. I was looking for a "Banner" setting from reading various posts about this, but couldn't find that anywhere in either file. _________________ -SweepingOar
