 Posted: Sat Nov 22, 2008 9:46 pm Post subject: chroot disaster missing /proc /dev/ /sys files [solved] |

|
i created some links in a chroot and then recursively deleted it with out unmounting /proc, /dev, /dev/shm, /dev/pts, /sys first. is there i can regenerate these without reinstalling. it is not letting me reconnect so anything is helpful right now.

did you try to reboot ? |

did you try to reboot ? |
i was afraid that if i rebooted it wouldnt let me again again, but i will give it a go |

None of them are real files, they are all generated dynamically |

i knew that, i was just worried that they were not generated at boot up. it is working now thanks for your help |
