Hi,
this is a split from post inside zen-sources thread:
| seqizz wrote: | Now complied but i can't use my "Fn" keys to set my screen brightness anymore. And this should be a problem:
| Code: | | Method "CreateBluetoothSession" with signature "ss" on interface "org.openobex.Manager" doesn't exist |
Shown with 28-rc3-x, maybe one of my other updates causes that, can i fill a bug to bugs.gentoo.org with zen? in this case?

that most probably isn't an hardware(kernel)-problem rather than a software-problem
on one day this worked perfectly with 2.6.27-zen3 for me, on the other (after a world-update / re-emerge of the whole system with same cflags and slightly different use-flags) this didn't work anymore
so the error lies within gnome-bluetooth / the gnome-obex-* stuff (I've already made that experience in former times that bluetooth sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't but haven't found the reason / cause yet) and not the kernel
I haven't tested bluetooth on 2.6.28-rc4-zen1 yet and will let you know if I encounter something other / time same problem _________________ Unofficial minimal livecd x86/amd64 w/reiser4+truecrypt (by Neo2)

seqizz, do you run ~ (testing) ?
if yes a recent update to obex-data-server 0.4.2 from 0.3.2 might have broken it - that was the only major version-change I saw (besides from gvfs 1.0.1 -> 1.0.2)
bluez-gnome depends on it so re-emerging both might fix it
here the versions of the apps I run:

edit:
BINGO!!
| Code: | | emerge -1 =obex-data-server-0.3* bluez-gnome | fixed it
make sure you kill obex-data-server and bluetooth-applet from memory then launch bluetooth-applet (that'll load obex-data-server too)
sorry for "spamming" this zen-sources thread _________________ Unofficial minimal livecd x86/amd64 w/reiser4+truecrypt (by Neo2)
