I am trying to burn some iso cds. Unfortunately, I have ~5-6 coasters. I checked the md5 after downloading the iso. It is fine. It burns successfully, but after verification k3b fails. The error is
Code:
written data in track 1 differs from original

I just tried to burn also on a dvd+rw and got this error:

Code:
cat k3b-error

Not that this will help much, but I had the same problem and just masked >=k3b-1. For some reason versions < 1 work just fine.

Oh, that's turning back to prehistory. less than 1 is version 0.12.17. I have 1.0.4

Now I tried emerge -pvuND world and saw an upgrade for cdrtools.
[ebuild U ] app-cdr/cdrtools-2.01.01_alpha51 [2.01.01_alpha34] USE="unicode" 1,715 kB

maybe this will be the solution? which version of cdrtools you have?

I'm not in front of my PC now, but I tried so many versions of k3b and upgrading cdrtools. The only thing that worked was downgrading to something less than version 1.0. There were bugs open about the problem, and no end in sight. This was back in May.

Thanks. It makes me sad. I used it successfully until now. But didn't use it with cds. 95% of the time I burned dvds.

I downgraded to version 0.12.7 and I still get errors on verification. This time the error was

I cut the burning process lines to be shorter.
