did you tried to update the kernel to the latest version?

Also the same for your motherboard bios?

Sometimes, this can solves problems ;)

I have tried with the latest version of kernel linux-2.6.25-gentoo-r6. We encountered different problem with the kernel. There is no error message on console and no error message anywhere but the system stopped working every 2weeks. Then we have downgraded the kernel to 2.6.23-gentoo-r6. we have tried older version and seems stable on another server. One thing to be noticed is that We are using dynamic shaping. That is we do perform high number of filters and class delete and add. Is there any problem while performing high number of filter and class manipulation.

Dynamic shaping! I mean to say we use to add shaping rule as the user gets connected and we use to delete as the user gets disconnected. The main point is that we use to perform rules add and delete more frequently. :)
