After finishing

, I ran

etc-update

with

option, so every new configuration file was merged (I'm stupid!)

Now I can not log in any more. whatever user name I inputted, it says

Then I rebooted by using a rescue cd, and choorted into gentoo. But I got

passwd: Permission denied

, when I ordered

passwd

.

I guess it has something to do with pam. Anyone helps me out?

. I fixed it thought
