So...after uninstalling KDE4 (very pretty - not sure why i left actually...) my applicatons menu list is blank. Ideas?

Try re-merging gnome-base/gnome-menus.

It seems both that package and kde-base/kdelibs own that file. Not sure how this is meant to be handled but... remerging gnome-menus fixed gnome for me.

Is this a KDE split build problem, a KDE problem or just me?

Fixed, thanks. Odd that KDE4 touched that...

BTW: KDE4 is amazingly pretty, I think i'll migrate all my systems to it around Christmas, it still needs a bit of polish.
