just installed KDE 4.1.2. got just about everything working fine, but Kopete crashes:
(using kopete-4.1.2)

I'vve got the same problem but for many programs: kmail, konqueror, kinfocenter etc.
Later edit:
I just removed kde 3.5, everything seems fine.
equery list kde-base/ | grep 3.5 | xargs emerge --unmerge |

| hmmm that poses a new problem, now non-kde-4.1.2 programs won't load and want to pull in 3.5 packages. (i.e. amarok, k3b, etc). |
